Elena and her new wheels

Last summer Elena hopped her little 2 year old self onto Ethans bike with training wheels. Her little feet just touched the pedals. She loved to get on there and try to pedal, but was up pretty high and it scared her a bit. It wasn't long before Ethan's training wheels came off and she no longer could play. Well now that she is a big 3 year old and the weather is nice again, we got her her own wheels to pedal on. Just her size and in her favorite colors - Pink and purple!
I thought it was funny because I had seen this bike advertised so I cut it out to remind myself. Well Elena saw it on the fridge and said "mommy, I want that bike - it's very pretty" Little did she know Daddy was outside assembling it! So she was excited when she got outside and saw her surprise. Until we told her she had to wear a helmet to ride the bike. We couldn't find her purple one, so she had to wear one of Ethan's. She just wasn't having that. But eventually wanted to join her bother and the neighbor who were riding their bikes up and down the sidewalks. She was such a big girl~ So of course this morning the first thing she says to me is "mommy, can I go outside and ride my new bike?"

My lil' Easter Bunny

It is a good thing in our house that we start celebrating Holidays early. We have had plenty of fun with plastic eggs. I think the minute we took down the St. pattys things, the Easter things went up!

Like most Holidays, we had a visitor we would rather not have- The flu! For the week prior it kind of went around between all the kids, Jason was here over the weekend and his mom just called saying he has it too. So we weren't able to get out and celebrate with Family this year.
We did color eggs and the kids loved finding their Easter baskets in the morning. They were able to hunt Easter eggs inside, so they enjoyed it even if they weren't feeling so well.
Also, I was such a proud momma. We were reading a book on the story of Easter, then I said I wanted to read to the kids right from the Bible, Ethan got out his Bible and said "I'll find the page mom." He turned right to it. He really loves reading through it and it just made me feel so good to see it.

So I didn't get any other photos as I was videotaping instead. So here is my little bunny being tortured by her momma:p

The Tween Turns Twelve

I cannot believe that our little guy is now a big guy. Just turning twelve and he is about the same size as me! It just seems like not long ago he was picking up items and naming them, being so proud of himself. Next school year he will be in the middle school.

Ethan and Elena have been doing a countdown until his birthday all week. Elena helped me make his birthday cake and Jason had his friend Cory over to have some cake and then shoot some hoops. Our family got him a new basketball stand and hoop. Which he was thrilled about!

A little too thrilled, as you can see.. it wore him out....

Ahh, the life of a tweenager. Remember the days when you could just snooze on the couch?

Lovin' her sgetti

For most of Miss Natalie's life I have been concerned about the foods that she eats, or in her case doesn't eat. The other 3 were big eaters, especially when they were babies, they opened wide for any food coming to their mouths! Not our Natalie.

She has refused any type of baby food. No cereals, no pureed, no mashed. Don't think of bringing a spoon to her mouth. Now that she is getting the grasp of feeding herself - and just got in her 6th tooth-she is becoming a little grazer. She will sit in her high chair for an hour just picking at a little of whatever is there.

One of her favorites is spaghetti. Last night she was really getting into it. She had sauce in her hair, ears, even under her earring! It was a mess, but she was enjoying herself as you can see:)

Step by Step

As we were getting ready to go outside and enjoy the nice spring weather we have been having, Natalie thought she would show off her newest accomplishment. Stair Climbing!! She has been able to pull herself up one step and then she just sits there and smiles at you. This time though, Elena was sitting up a few steps putting on her shoes and Natalie decided to join her so up she went, not one, not two, but THREE steps!! My big girl:)

When she got as high as her sissy, She was a bit tired and had to have a seat and take a little break.

Ok, she has got the crawling down, pulling up down, stair climbing she is working on.... oh no, that means walking is next. not yet, not yet!!

I love this little pink hat she has on. Elena wore it all over when she was a baby, Now my Natalie is wearing it too!!
