Last Day of Preschool = First Day of Summer!

Today was Elena's last day of preschool. She still has another year of Preschool to go, but for some reason it just seems like she is growing up way too quickly. Feels like she should be heading to kindergarten in the fall. Thankfully I have her home with me most of the time for another year! I will miss her so when she goes off to school. Although she will be thrilled. She knows most of her friends will be in class again next year and her best buddy she will still see all summer, but she was counting down days until school was done, because when school is over, it is SUMMER!!! Her favorite time of the year.. We had to do some poses before school.Timing was perfect though, we had a great sunny warm day, so this afternoon I picked up a little pool and had it filled up and ready by the time they got up from naps and Ethan got home from school. They couldn't wait to jump in. I couldn't wait to see what Natalie's reaction would be. She wasn't too sure about it.

Even though mom dumped buckets of hot water in, it was still a bit chilly. But they didn't mind. She finally ventured in after a while of closely watching big brother and sister, then I couldn't get her out! She even raced out the back door once we all were in trying to sneak back in. Oh she will be so much fun at the beach this summer!! Welcome Summer, Welcome!

Ethan's Art Show

One things that Ethan has really found an interest in is Art. He is actually pretty good at finding a subject and drawing it pretty well. The master of our family portraits. He could spend an afternoon with a pile of paper and some crayons. For Christmas this past year his uncle bought him an art easel and a box of supplies. He has had so much fun with that. Well he was very excited when his school put on an art show and some of his works were on display. So we went to check them out.Here he is showing off his clay pot that he made. They had a paper for the kids to draw on and sign and it was to be displayed in the cafeteria. So Elena, Ethan and one of his classmates were busy making some creations...
It's always nice to see what is going on at the school and for him to be a part of it.. Hope this love of school thing lasts for awhile :)

Splish-Splash!

We had quite a day today. With all the kids being a bit plugged up and not feeling so well with head colds I gave them a vapor bath before bed. This almost always helps them to fall asleep easier. So usually I give the girls their bath together and then Ethan gets his turn, but tonight since I wanted him in the room breathing in the vapors too, he was in the bathroom. Of course practically hanging on the side of the tub trying to play with the tub toys too. When I was just about to get the girls out, he hops in too. Since they are all getting older and the chances of me having all 3 in the tub together is pretty slim. (Although you never know if I attempt that Christmas Card picture again...hee, hee I don't think Jason would be cool with that!) I grabbed the camera. Do not freak out.. I did not leave my baby unattended in the tub.. I did happen to have the camera handy in a pile of things I was taking up to my room that I left there when I was drawing their bath water.. So camera handy I got in one shot before my battery died... Ethan and Elena usually have a great smile to flash. I have to laugh at Natalie. She is trying so hard to give a posed smile... oh my little one, she always makes me laugh.
