Bye-Bye Baby Teeth!

There has been a little wiggly tooth in Ethan's mouth for about a month now. I was really expecting it to come out a little while ago. Unfortunately his first baby tooth lost was forced out by a little too rough play at recess. I received a call from the principal of Ethan's school two days ago. They call me often and usually for silly things, but usually it is the school secretary. The principal? Okay what's up. It seems Ethan and about 3 other kids were playing some kind of game and Ethan's face ended up colliding with another kids head. His classmates were genuinely concerned when I showed up at the school to check him out. They were all still at recess, I enter the school and his teacher asks me if the tooth that is missing was already loose? Tooth missing? WHAT? So anyways his first baby tooth was knocked out and either he swallowed it, or it is still hiding somewhere at the school playground. We went to the dentist and he said all was fine, permanent teeth okay.He does have a top one that was knocked a little loose and the gum is bruised, but he says he's okay. Either way the tooth fairy came and brought him his loot. He never really cares much for money, but he thought that was awesome.

( Here he is the morning after loosing his first tooth)
He got even more crazy when the tooth next to it became wiggly and a second later he pulled it out! That one wasn't even loose! He looks so different when he smiles now. So much more like a kid, not a little boy. He was so revved up to go to bed, I wasn't even allowed to lay next to him to read a story. Out MOM! Some serious cash was gonna be delivered AGAIN!

(Here he is this morning after #2 comes out!)
He is already anticipating loosing the rest and counting up how much money he can bank on this. So much easier than doing chores ;)

Beauty Shop

During spring break this year, to make it a bit more enjoyable, I let each of the kids pick a day and something that they wanted to do. Miss Elena chose playing beauty shop and tea party. So we pulled out her make-up kit that she got for Christmas and decorated her face all up. She helped make mommy and Natalie pretty too. Ethan wanted to have the tea party too. He has never liked tea, but when he saw that you could put sugar and milk in it, he wanted in. So basically he drank a cup of milk and sugar with a hint of mint tea. Hmmmm sounds kind of like moms coffee!
Playing beauty shop has become almost a daily thing around here since this. Even Natalie wants her nails polished and lip gloss on all the time! When we had our nieces over they played and this is miss Natalie after a pampering session.

Oh what a beauty! Look at that face. hee, hee. Oh having girls - what a joy!

Easter 2007

This year Easter was a pretty laid back one, but luckily no one was sick and we were able to do our celebrating! Saturday afternoon we colored Easter eggs. This year we didn't use the dunk and dye method. We bought a sponge paint kit, our little artists enjoyed it a bit more I think and they were the prettiest eggs I think we've done. They awoke on Sunday to their baskets of goodies which they were more than excited to wake up and check out (awoke earlier than usual, about 6:15 AM) My dad came down to go to church with us and stayed for dinner which was nice. Just a laid back Easter so nice not to have to run all over town.

Of course we snuck a family nap in too so it was a perfect Holiday!

In their Easter finest getting ready to go to Church. Natalie was just not herself the past few days and this day was no exception. Luckily once she got to church and saw her little friends all was right again.

Still not getting any smiles from these girls, but Ethan is always good to strike a pose for the camera - even if he is busy trying to do yo-yo tricks.

Happy Easter!!

Easter's on it's Way!

Our local Giant Eagle grocery store had a Easter scavenger hunt and it was actually pretty fun. They had bunny tracks taped to the floor and it was pretty easy for the kids to follow along. The kids went to each department and received goodies. Then at the end they had the Easter bunny there to take pictures with. The kids had so much fun doing the hunt, but when it came time for the picture Ethan was the only one who was game. He saw a few kids he went to school with and was having a blast. Natalie thought the bunny was cute from afar. Lucky for her Daddy was with us and he wouldn't subject her to torture. He held her while the others got their pic taken. (mommy would of made her sit there and the pic would include a screaming toddler ;p) Elena refused the entire time we were in line and once we got up there and told her she could sit on the bench next to her brother, not the bunny she was fine. This pic was taken by the store. I have to get my camera fixed. The zoom lens is stuck and won't go out. Anyone know a camera repair person? I am going crazy without a camera! It has been 2 weeks without one!!!
