Halloween Party 2007

What a fun filled weekend we had! Ethan started out the weekend by having his Halloween party at school Friday. So preparing for that we made cut out cookies and put together some treat bags for all his classmates. Saturday we went to his school for their Halloween fun fest. So we get in gear to be a witch, a vampire, and a kitty cat (because that's what Dora dresses like) The kids had so much fun going last year, I could hardly get them to sleep Friday night.
Here Ethan is picking a prize for playing one of the games.Elena waiting for her turn to play the game.Ethan and his buddy from his class. Such silly little boys.Natalie really got into this treat thing! She didn't want to play any games, she just gave each person a ticket and picked a prize. She was lovin' it!Here they are on Sunday before we went Trick or Treating. Aren't they sweet? Natalie even let me put her ears on this time. You really can't tell in this pic, but Ethan has green hair and Elena has pink. Natalie wanted me to color her hair too. (I couldn't because she looked too cute, so I put her ears on and she was happy with that.) Cousin Stephen was looking awesome as the Tin Man. He even had the tin man walk going on. hee, hee.

They ended the day with a ton of treats. Natalie even kept up with the bigger kids for most of the time. They did a good job waiting for her and sticking together. She insisted on walking and was thrilled when she got m & m's!!

We had dinner with family afterwards. Always nice to get together. Now we have to carve some pumpkins and get our treats ready to pass out at our house. More fun ahead...

We are the Champions!

Jason- Our Eight Grade Football player. Had his final football game last night. What a great season and what a great game! His team had a perfect undefeated season.
They are the Firelands conference champs!! Whoo-hoo! The team they played for the title was also undefeated, so it was pretty exciting going into it last night. Quite a few of the kids were getting hurt. Jason played the whole second half which was exciting to see. They ended with a score of 20-6. Very cool. Great job Jason! We are proud of you and the hard work your team put in.

What a fun weekend!

I cannot believe it is October in Ohio. We have been having some unseasonably warm weather lately. This is how we spent our time on Sunday. In bathing suits in the back yard or hiding inside in the a/c. Unbelievable. It has been nice though since I really am not ready to be cooped up in the house just yet. The girls spent hours outside making up games with the balls. Ethan eventually joined in the fun.
Sunday we spent a nice day together. Still didn't make it to the corn maze, but we have a few weeks. We headed out to a local apple orchard with the plan of going on a hayride, picking some apples and before we left going through the corn maze. Well it was way in the 80's and quite humid and by the time we did all the fun little kids things they had, the kids were hot and hungry and an air-conditioned McDonalds sounded much better than sweltering any more. So we decided to make another day of the other fun things. Still early in the month...What a cute bunch!Ethan and Elena took a little train ride around the pumpkin patch. Then they had water toy races.
Look how they are growing.. like little weeds:)Then after our day of fun at the orchard, we headed to Bill's sisters for a cookout. Since the weather was so nice we decided to get together, cook out, get a fire going. All that fun stuff. So miss Natalie had to spruce up a bit and put on her favorite boots.
Aunt Tracy and Aunt Sandy making up some yummy smores...Princess Elena swinging away with her chocolatey treat.Ethan and Stephen playing with glo sticks.
Natalie's favorite part of the day. A major discovery! An open unguarded bag of marshmallows!!
So glad we had another chance to spend some time enjoying the good weather with family!
