Baby Shower fun

This weekend was full of fun things to do. One of them being my cousins baby shower. I still am in shock that she is old enough to have a baby! But still very excited for her and her hubby :) Me and the girls went for some girl time. A lot of girls and girl cousins. Elena loves it when we have a chance to get together with them all. We only see them a few times a year. Natalie was having a blast playing with her 10 mth old cousin. She was crawling around like her and loving on her. So cute! Cannot wait to get them together to play again soon.

Miss Natalie is growing up right before my eyes! I have been going through clothes getting ready for the change of seasons and came across a few things Natalie can fit into that were Elena's. This nightgown was one of those things. Her daddy couldn't believe how sweet she looked in this one. And what a little girl she was looking like, not so much like a baby - sniff, sniff
Her big brother thought she looked pretty cute too, He tried to give her a big smootch :)

Yoga Baby!

It is a funny thing to watch. A 6 yr old, 4 year old and a 21 mth old trying to balance on one foot with their arms in the air.(and a now 32 yr old mom trying to keep her balance while laughing her head off) But lately as mom is trying to be a healthier mommy, the kids have decided that Yoga can be fun. Of course they only last a few minutes and they are off to play something "more fun". I had to stop what I was doing and grab the camera the other day because Natalie looked so cute! Snowy Day Activity

No school! No school! Remember when those words were the best ever? Well when the kids are young and its too cold to go outside, you have to get creative on how to help them get there energy out! Here is one tried and true activity if you just grin and bear it for a bit, it can get a little noisy. They sure have fun though! To see them in action, click here.

Fun school Days

My poor kiddos. Its one thing to be little and love to go to school, its tough when it seems like all the days special events are planned we are hit with bad weather! So far this year there has only been one week that the kids had a full school week (calendar year 2007, not school year) Not all due to weather, some were holidays or teacher days. But poor Ethan has been looking forward to things like last week was right to read week. The school had different events planned for each day and the kids got to dress up in special themes. School was canceled the first two days of the week, then they had a 2 hour delay so he missed dress up day and camping day. Then this week they missed today due to the blizzard hitting our area and they have already called off school tomorrow. So he was all upset because his Valentines party is tomorrow.
Which of course he will still get to celebrate. Hopefully this excitement for school will continue for awhile. Hopefully we can keep him occupied for a whole day again tomorrow. How did we manage when he was home all day last year??

So here is Ethan on School spirit day and Elena had a special day last week too. Pajama day. She couldn't wait to wear her Dora jammies to school.

Little BOW Peep

Miss Natalie has a new obsession. She LOVES all her "pretties" (Bows, Clips and Hair bands)In fact when she wakes up in the morning, she will go right for her pretty drawer and usually pulls out her favorite which is the little duck she is wearing in the pictures. She is such a little girly girl, it is so funny to see that part of her personality coming out already. She loves to look at herself with her hair pulled up and likes mommy to brush her crazy hair that goes everywhere. But she loves to put her bows in her hair and help mommy pick out new ones. Our friend Jill has her own business and does such a great job with making all these bows. I think because we know who makes them it makes it more special, for Elena anyways - she always will say This is the bow Jill made me :)

Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Ever since we received our first dusting of snow back in November, Elena has been begging for snow and begging to make snow Angels. So of course the very first sight of a snowflake had her all worked up! In fact we were heading out to the car going to school the first day it was snowing and I look around me to get Elena in the car, where is she? Laying on the driveway making an angel. At least there wasn't too much snow so she wasn't soaked. But it has been so cold here, I don't like that there is snow outside calling them to come out to play, but it is freezing especially with the wind chill, so all we can do is enjoy its beauty. We did have one day that was just cold enough that I let them run around for 15 minutes (boy did they need that!) So immediately they drop on the ground.

The finished product! Now if we could just get some good packing snow we still need to get in some snowman making and sledding before the winter is up.
