Well lately it is too cold for the kids to play outside, and there has been less days that the kids have been in school due to in service days or
MLK day. The daily
phrase around here is "I'm bored". The kids have had to get creative to find things to do. So I thought I would just share a few of the things that are occupying these little monkeys time.
Natalie, oh Natalie. I could follow her around all day and snap pictures of the little things she does. She is hilarious just being her. Constantly making funny faces and gestures because she doesn't talk. Never know what is gonna happen with her. The other day after the bathroom door being left open, this is what momma discovers. She had been playing with the
tp roll and was trying to clean it up.
She even went and got a bag to put it in! Sometimes it amazes me what they understand even before they are using the words.
Ethan is becoming a little card shark. He is always playing games, cards,
candyland, go fish. Yesterday I think they pulled out every game we had and made up their own games for the pieces. Daddy played
Uno with the kids yesterday so today that is his game of choice. Yesterday he was pulling out all his little costume toys and was stomping around the house in his THING feet from Fantastic Four, so then he added his Human torch mask and even then decided to get out his
darth vader costume...
Elena thought she would have a go. So here she is in
darth vader, with a
spiderman web blaster on one hand, a human torch flame thrower on the other and The Thing feet on. Who is that crazy mixed up super hero/
villain???
SURPRISE!! It's just me! ELENA!!!
Upon observing this rare happening, mommy had to grab the camera and snap a few shots of our kiddos snuggling up on a chilly morning having their morning snack and watching cartoons.
Sometimes one or two of them will sit together nicely, but it is not very often all 3 will sit without having to claim space of the couch or floor or disagree about the show to watch.
So here are the little snugglers, they were caught being nice:)

I am not one to pick really frilly girly outfits, but I saw this little snowsuit and actually thought it was cute! So I picked it up for Miss Natalie. It was just a tad poofier than I thought it would be. She looked so funny buried in there, the kids just kept immitating the Christmas Story " I can't put my arms down" and laughing at her as we got ready to take Ethan to school this morning. Poor little puffy girl. 
Okay Mom, you had your laughs, now get me out of this thing ;)
This New Years was nothing short of fun, despite most of our family being plagued with head colds, most of them were able to get together to celebrate for part of the night. We had them over to celebrate Bills birthday, So with TONS of food we started our celebrations! 
iversary. The kids had soo much fun. We set up Ethan's new art easel and had everyone write their New Years wishes when they came in. Ethan made sure the second they came in that they were at the board. We played card games, ate and ate Did I mention the tons of food?? The funniest things that I can remember from the night are Ethan getting a group of adults to play Operation at 11:00 at night! That was so funny! First he mentioned Candyland, I was dying. But they all played along! Then Elena getting one of Bills friends to play house. THAT was too cute! Natalie went to bed at normal time and amazingly slept through all the commotion but Ethan and Elena were up until 1:30 AM!! I think they would've kept going but I made them stop playing, in fact Ethan was in a heated game of Go Fish and Elena was getting a new coloring book to start a new page. We had a champagn
e toast at midnight and the kids had bubbly pop in fancy glasses which they thought was the best thing ever. Elena of course had to wear a pretty dress so the one pic is the girls giving a New Years kiss, the other is showing off Natalies new CHEESE grin, and the one of Ethan is his little party guy he made.
