Ethan at the REC Olympics

(To take the words away from the little video, just click the "x" - it makes it easier to see the pics)
This was the first year that Ethan participated in the Rec Olympics. He was so pumped up about it. Even more so when one of his friends showed up and was in his group. They had a pool event, long jump, all sport, running, and obstacle course. He did really good for this being his first competitive event. I was really impressed with his swimming. He has never taken lessons, just lots of beach and pool time. Self taught. He swam the length of the pool and came in second for his group. I was a nervous momma and he proved he could do it. He was bummed in the end when he didn't place, but all the older and a bit bigger kids did. We just reminded him of how much fun he had and next year he will be one of the older kids and will know what to expect.

School Delay = Extra Cuddle Time

Last week the kids had a school delay. They are getting quite used to these as we have had at least one delay or cancel each week so far this year. I found them all snuggled up in Ethan's bed telling stories and being silly together. They were all hiding under the blanket when they heard me coming.. A-HA!

Bowling Fun

We haven't been bowling in awhile and were thinking of something fun to do last weekend. We had soo much fun! Definetly something we will be doing more often. Even Natalie got into it.. for a little while anyways. The girls loved the pumped up dancing tunes. They were boogying all over the place. Even Ethan tried a few moves out.

Natalie was funny watching her balls slooowwly roll down the lane and she really got a kick out of the blacklight when glo-bowling started!

Ethan and Elena were neck and neck for most of it, but with a strike to her advantage, Elena took the game! She ended up with 105!

By the end, Natalie decided to rest until we were ready to go. What a fun afternoon! (The pics are smaller, but they are clickable. you can click on any of them to see them better . - Thanks JEN!)

Is it naptime yet?

I think the picture speaks for itself. Poor Natalie could not wait until lunch was over to take her nap. This is a first for her, so you KNOW she was beat.
