Awana Grand Prix Derby

This is Ethan's 3rd year in Awana. But this is his first year in Sparks. So it was his first year he could be in the Grand Prix Derby. He was so looking forward to this big race day. Little did mom know how much detail was to go into these cars! I never have been to the race before and so I didn't know what to expect. Whoah. Next year we have a bit more work cut out for us! These cars are detailed! The only thing that matters is Ethan got to paint his own car. He loved the colors & he thought it was funny that his picture was on his. That's the important part anyways! He did win one of the three heats that he was in. So that made his day. He got a ribbon for participating and thought that was cool. So all in all the day was a success :)

Seeing Green 2007

Once again we had a Saint Patricks day dinner here with family. It is so much fun. Especially since we aren't really Irish but everyone knows that everyone is Irish on this day! We had corned beef sandwiches, corned beef and cabbage and ended the yummy meal with green cheesecake and Irish creme cake - which is tooo good. The kids decked their green and wore tattoos. Emma had to have hers front and center on her forehead but wouldn't give me a good smile in fear of ruining the artwork. She and Natalie are playing together - notice how hard Natalie is working on that smile:) There is a better one. So serious though:p
Ethan was having fun playing Uno which turned out to be the game of the night. He was out of the big game so he and cousin Jennifer had their own little game.

And the girls Elena and Abby posing just as they did last year, my how they have grown. Such lovely young ladies:) It is a nice tradition that we have started. Hopefully we can do this for many years to come!

Friends

This little guy in the middle is Ethans buddy from school. He has come over to play a few times .

Whenever he comes over, Elena follows him around like crazy! He of course doesn't mind since he only has older brothers.

We are entering a whole new stage in the kids lives now. They are meeting new friends. I mean Ethan had friends in preschool, but most of them we knew from our church and they conveniently had younger siblings for Elena to play with. So not to often did we have the "I don't have anyone to play with" era. We enter a new stage of sibling rivalry. The friend issue. Of course it doesn't matter that we still have Natalie for someone to play with. That doesn't count, she's just a baby. Hey babies like to play too! Especially cool ones like Natalie
