Some spooky dress-up fun

Okay the Fall things are out and the Halloween box is down. The kids couldn't resist the urge to try on their new costumes they get to wear this year and try on old ones to see what still fits. I was absolutely hysterical watching them act out all these different characters. It sure made for a fun afternoon! Melanne modeling miss Elena's costume from last year and Elena trying on her witch for this year.
Ethan sporting the fireman costume from a few years ago.
This one absolutely cracks me up! If I would've known how much fun Elena would have being a pirate, I would of bought two of them last year!! She was so funny!! Ethan was quite frightening. But not as frightening as Natalie in these teeth!!! YIKES!! She's scaring me....
Oh we are gonna have some fun this fall!!

A New Adventure

This week I started a new job. One of my oldest friends asked me if I would want to babysit her little girl. She is Natalie's age so I thought about it a bit. These days with Ethan and Elena in school, Natalie is going crazy. She just wants her brother and sister around. She whines all day long for them. So I thought this might be a good thing for her to have a playmate just for her. So far I am right about that. The first day was great, the girls played soo well together. She came at breakfast time and they immediately started smiling at each other and holding hands! So cute! Yesterday they had a few little feuds. Mainly over one of the baby strollers. I think I may just pick up another one of them just to avoid that argument daily. So miss Natalie has a new friend and I think it is just great.Just as long as they don't try to do some of the things her mom & I used to try and get away with... Hopefully that is many, many years down the road ;p

Brothers? Well kind of...

This past week was Jason's first 8th grade football game. He is in a new school this year so they play teams closer to home for us. So at his first game the kids were playing behind the bleachers and Ethan tells me that he is playing with a new friend he met, I turned around to see who it is and smiled. This is Jason's other brother Nathanial. The boys are a year apart and have only played together once before. So I tell Ethan who it is and he grins from ear to ear, when I tell Nathanial who Ethan is, he does the same. I had to LOL because they were even dressed the same. They had a blast playing together and cannot wait until the next football game.

So here are both of J's brothers. As for Jason and his team, they did great. I didn't get a very good shot of him yet. I didn't want to bug him too much with the pics as he is the new kid and didn't want him to be teased, so I will get more shots of him in action. Their team won 22-0. Good game and our football player was looking quite handsome out there. Couldn't believe that was our boy. One of the tallest players, it was easy to spot him:)

Back to School again

Where did summer go??? I mean technically it is still summer for a few more weeks, but it just feels over once school is back in session. No more late nights catching fireflys, but there will be more nights of getting the firepit going and roasting marshmallows. Cool weather is best for that! We did have a good summer this year. It has been one of my favorites. The kids were getting anxious to get back to school and see their friends again. Elena started a week after Ethan and that was torture for her. I even overheard them coming up with a plan so Elena could go to school with Ethan. There is an empty desk in his class, why can't she sit there? So cute!
So onto some pics.
Here is Elena by the first day of school tree.
Last year she had to show me how old she was, here she is showing me again.
Natalie is two, just in case you were wondering. Hee, hee. Here's the girls with nothing but smiles:)On Ethan's first day, Elena had to wear her back pack too. She couldn't wait to get it out!

Here is the big first grader. He was happy with the class he was going to be in. We got the teacher we were hoping to get and most of his friends from last year would be with him. So they are back in school and miss Natalie is going crazy. I have to keep her occupied or she'll walk around the house all day saying "sissy? bubby??" Oh she is so lonely without them:)
