Ethan's First Indians Game

On Memorial day we decided to take the boys to the ball field and Although Jason took an interest in ball at age 2, Ethan is just now getting into the game and we thought he was finally ready to go to the big league. The boysEthan was all smiles as he checks out the view of the field. So much excitement!Jason- who I cannot believe is finishing up his freshman year of high school!! What a handsome kid:)
Ethan anxiously waiting for nachos. He did good. For as antsy as my little man is, he stayed with what was going on with the game pretty good. Of course there were 1000 seagulls bombarding the place so he was easily distracted by them flying right in our face! (I was a bit distracted by them as well!)We didn't stay for the whole game, we left when the score was 10-2. Indians were not winning, of course we are bad luck so once we left they came back with a win! That is the story of our life.

Happy 14th Birthday JASON

I still cannot believe it, but our little man Jason (who as you can see in the pics is almost as tall as his dad and is not such a little man these days) is now a 14 year old! I still have images in my head of this cute little red haired boy who stole my heart. I used to joke that I fell in love with him first. How could I not? Well we got together to celebrate his birthday yesterday and we had a real nice time. Always with the bunny ears!
Cold hard cash always works!
Tonight him and his dad are going to freeze, I mean watch the Indians vs the Red Sox. This should be interesting as Jason is a fan of both teams. GO TRIBE!!
Happy Birthday Jason Lane! We love you!!

Sledding and Snowboarding

Our handsome boys:) Warning! Photo overload!

Dad took advantage of the decent temps and tons of snow and took the boys sledding. This was Ethan's first time out. Usually it is too cold, or someone is sick. So this was a big deal. He had a riot! Jason was happy to use his snowboard again, although it has been awhile and some practice was needed. Here he is getting ready to go downhill, He is off!
He is down, but not out - notice there is the hint of a smile on our teenagers face:)

Ethan wants to head up to the bigger hill. He trucks up to the top and away he goes!

I didn't think we would ever get him off the hill! Jason down again, but it's all good.

Ethan decides to skip the hard work of hauling a sled up the hill and just rolls down instead. Of course cannot be in the snow without whipping a few snowballs at each other while taking a brief rest.
It's so nice to see these two having fun hanging out together!

A Little Catch Up

Okay first we are starting back at Thanksgiving. We had one of the best Thanksgivings. So laid back and enjoyed by the whole family. Of course all the food was GREAT! A really good day. Here is big brother and baby sis.All the girls in their fancy dresses... And of course the handsome boys. (who were a little reluctant to pose for a pic)
I was so excited this week, I have been pricing cameras and seeing what kind of a deal I could get and I found a perfect one. I got it on Wednesday and as I was reading about it, I had to do a few practice shots. We had just gotten home from Awana and the kids were having their snack of Cheerios.

Of course when I showed J the new camera he had to take action so I had something worth snapping a shot of. What a natural talent!!
We got our first snowfall of the year last week. It was so nice to wake up and everything be white. So pretty. Especially since the day it snowed Bill was home so he was able to do all the running of the kids to school and stuff and I had baking to do, so I could stay inside listen to Christmas music and watch the fluffy snow fall. Perfect.. Ethan had a 2 hour delay that day and Jason has already missed two days of school for snow! The kids finally got a chance to play in it on Saturday. Here is their new friend Arnold. Of course when the Ethan, J and the neighborhood boys had an all out snow ball fight, he didn't hang around long. Ethan spent the entire afternoon outside playing.
Elena begged for two days to go out in the snow. She was soo happy to finally get out in it!
Natalie was happy for a few minutes, but once she tried to adjust her mitten and got snow on her wrist, she was done.
So that is our recap, I think we are up to speed now. Have a great day!

We are the Champions!

Jason- Our Eight Grade Football player. Had his final football game last night. What a great season and what a great game! His team had a perfect undefeated season.
They are the Firelands conference champs!! Whoo-hoo! The team they played for the title was also undefeated, so it was pretty exciting going into it last night. Quite a few of the kids were getting hurt. Jason played the whole second half which was exciting to see. They ended with a score of 20-6. Very cool. Great job Jason! We are proud of you and the hard work your team put in.

Brothers? Well kind of...

This past week was Jason's first 8th grade football game. He is in a new school this year so they play teams closer to home for us. So at his first game the kids were playing behind the bleachers and Ethan tells me that he is playing with a new friend he met, I turned around to see who it is and smiled. This is Jason's other brother Nathanial. The boys are a year apart and have only played together once before. So I tell Ethan who it is and he grins from ear to ear, when I tell Nathanial who Ethan is, he does the same. I had to LOL because they were even dressed the same. They had a blast playing together and cannot wait until the next football game.

So here are both of J's brothers. As for Jason and his team, they did great. I didn't get a very good shot of him yet. I didn't want to bug him too much with the pics as he is the new kid and didn't want him to be teased, so I will get more shots of him in action. Their team won 22-0. Good game and our football player was looking quite handsome out there. Couldn't believe that was our boy. One of the tallest players, it was easy to spot him:)
