Christmas Programs 2007

I still have so much to talk about with Christmas. We celebrated with 3 straight days of exchanging gifts and getting together with family. Absolutely wonderful and completely exhausting. I have spent the last few days just vegging out and resting!!

Two weeks ago was Ethan's school Christmas Program and Elena's was last week. So I wanted to share some pics and a short video clip from each of them. Ethan had a speaking part. This was big for him. First real school program. They did celebrations from around the world. It was GREAT! Doesn't he look handsome? I laughed the entire time. The kids were so entertaining. I love that I have been able to volunteer and get to know some of these kids. It made it so much more enjoyable. I love to watch school programs! So Cute!
Here is Natalie at Ethan's program with my Grandparents.
Elena was chosen to be an angel this year for her program. And what an angel she was! The teachers said they are just going to work with Elena and her best little friend for Spring Program since they pretty much carried the show! (They are the oldest ones in the class) She really gets into these things. Practices all day long. She knows all her hand motions and songs. She is always singing and dancing.
Our little entertainer :)

Ethans is on the top row in the back, red fiesta hat on. Just double click the play button to see.

Silent Night, or Not So Much.

So I mentioned to Bill the other day that I thought Natalie was done with her crib. She pretty much has been refusing to sleep in it. Still waking in the middle of the night and throwing a fit when I try to lay her back down in it. She had her toddler bed up in our room and was taking her naps on that. Lately when she wakes up during the night I am so tired I just plop her in her sisters bed and she sleeps there the rest of the night. So I was a bit shocked when the other day Natalie calls for me and says "Momma, I big girl. come my room, see" It was absolutely adorable. When I get to the top of the stairs she says "Don't look, close eyes" and when I get to her doorway she yells "Ta-Da!" She was so happy to say bye-bye to baby bed. Mom had to take a moment though. I have had a baby in that bed constantly for the last 7 years. Now it was down and that was it. That is that. wow... Her first night was horrible. She wouldn't lay down, wouldn't go to sleep cried most of the night and ended up being plopped into sissys bed because mommy has been up with sick kids all week and mommy was just a bit tired. Last night she did great, she fell right to sleep and slept through the night. I am crossing my fingers tonight. She went right to sleep without a fuss.
So here's hoping.
Hard to see, I didn't want to wake her. My little big girl:)

Church Directory Picture

This is our picture we had taken for our church directory. Luckily for me they put a goofy red background on the others so I didn't order a bunch of pics.

A Little Catch Up

Okay first we are starting back at Thanksgiving. We had one of the best Thanksgivings. So laid back and enjoyed by the whole family. Of course all the food was GREAT! A really good day. Here is big brother and baby sis.All the girls in their fancy dresses... And of course the handsome boys. (who were a little reluctant to pose for a pic)
I was so excited this week, I have been pricing cameras and seeing what kind of a deal I could get and I found a perfect one. I got it on Wednesday and as I was reading about it, I had to do a few practice shots. We had just gotten home from Awana and the kids were having their snack of Cheerios.

Of course when I showed J the new camera he had to take action so I had something worth snapping a shot of. What a natural talent!!
We got our first snowfall of the year last week. It was so nice to wake up and everything be white. So pretty. Especially since the day it snowed Bill was home so he was able to do all the running of the kids to school and stuff and I had baking to do, so I could stay inside listen to Christmas music and watch the fluffy snow fall. Perfect.. Ethan had a 2 hour delay that day and Jason has already missed two days of school for snow! The kids finally got a chance to play in it on Saturday. Here is their new friend Arnold. Of course when the Ethan, J and the neighborhood boys had an all out snow ball fight, he didn't hang around long. Ethan spent the entire afternoon outside playing.
Elena begged for two days to go out in the snow. She was soo happy to finally get out in it!
Natalie was happy for a few minutes, but once she tried to adjust her mitten and got snow on her wrist, she was done.
So that is our recap, I think we are up to speed now. Have a great day!
