I have a ton of photos from Natalie's birthday party to post about, but since I have done two posts about her in a row, I thought I would throw in a post for Ethan and Elena. This past week we had our closing ceremony for
AWANA. 
Elena has been in the
Cubbies class which is for preschoolers for two years now. She will be moving up to Ethan's class which is Sparks.
Awana has been a great program for her. She really has grown in her knowledge and love for Christ. In
cubbies she just has one memory verse to learn each week and in Sparks she will be challenged to learn more. Above she was on stage singing some of their
cubbies songs. I love to watch her perform. She gets so nervous and then ends up being the strongest voice on stage and the only one who knows all the hand motions. She really loves that stuff. Ethan hopped up on stage to help lead the group in one of the songs during the ceremony. He will stay in Sparks for one more year before moving up to TNT.

Ethan was flying through his verses this year. He can really do some memorization! He completed his second of three books so he received a certificate and a Ribbon. He was quite pleased with his reward. Great Job Ethan!
Now we take a break for the summer, but we have their books to do some review and of course a
plethora of Vacation Bible Schools to attend!

Congrats to both of them..
Did you hear they are doing away with Sparks.. or something like that..not that the churchs are but the Awana's program they are changing Sparks to something different.. I heard talk that they will let the kids who already started in the sprark program finish it but all the new ones moving up will be doing the new program. I didn't hear this from my kids awanas group but my sister is in charge of the awana's in her church in TX and she told me this.
Congrats to Elena and Ethan!! We finally found a church out here and they kids are going to start Awana there in the fall. They miss it! It was funny looking through your pictures and seeing a picture of my nephew Andy :)
