The Rest of the Fiesta

We had Natalie's birthday on a Saturday afternoon and decided it would be fun to have a belated cinco de mayo party Saturday night. So we had a mexican buffett. Lots of yummy food. Beef tacos, fish tacos, tamales, rice, bean dip and fruit - don't forget the margaritas! And to top it off Apple Fried Ice Cream. Of course we were all too full to enjoy that!
It turned out to be a great night. Bill went and got a new fire pit which I am thrilled about. We didn't have one last year. Well we had a stone ring but it wasn't the same. So I am looking forward to many nights out by the fire. We sat around the fire for quite awhile and caught up.
We had a pinata for Natalie's birthday, but in mexican style Uncle Tom brought one for our dinner. The kids surely did not mind, only this time around the BIG KIDS got to take a hit since earlier the little kids did most of the hitting. I have to say the rainbow pinata was the weakest one I have ever made. Usually it goes through at least 10 kids before a dent is in it.
Ethan steps up first, fully confident that he is going to tear it up in one shot.
Emma steps up to the plate.
Stephen takes his turn.
Abby surprised when she hit it. This is a tough pinata!
Okay bigger kids out of the way, time for the big kids to get a turn! Go Amie!
Tracy takes a turn, the kids get ready and Jennifer prays for candy:)
Jennifer giving Bill the eye. She is serious about this.
Jude was not happy when Uncle Bill kept lifting it so he wouldn't hit it.
Jason of course did the final damage as he usually does.
The crowd went wild and the party animal had to wear his trophy.
So they were overloaded with candy and goodies & a good time was had by all
